Have you had the chance to stop by Motto Boutique in Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood? Not only does the lifestyle boutique carry chic, one-of-a-kind fashion, but the store also sells home furnishings and accessories. This Wednesday, October 10th is a perfect opportunity to stop by and see the beautiful merchandise for yourselves. Shop owners Maria Walker and Maryn Bulygo are hosting Urban Collection, an art gallery opening from 5-8:30pm, featuring collected work from emerging artists for over the last 20+ years on sale at prices below their usual value. Most artists have since “emerged” including Shannon Kennedy, Christian Holstad, Peter Houser, Erinestine Ruben, & Ramon Muxter to name a few. The collection also includes several local MCAD grads and locals like Sarah Wooster, Matt Franzen & Jennifer Davis.
Be sure to stop by! Motto Boutique is located at 3105 Hennepin Ave South, Minneapolis. There will also be plenty of treats and refreshments served at the opening. See you there!

All of us Minnesotans cherish the short-lived summer, but this year, we have another short lived event to enjoy. In the heart of downtown Minneapolis at 88 S 10th St. resides pop-up art gallery, Ad Hoc Art. The gallery is in its space only until the end of August. While you may visit the gallery during its normal hours of Tu-Fri 11am-8pm, Sat 10am-8pm and Sun 10am-2pm, they are hosting a free event tonight, Friday, July 20th from 7 to 10pm with music and cold treats! Read on to learn more about Ad Hoc Art and view more photos from the gallery.

Last week, I had an invitation to join the Blog Pantry ladies (a group of local female bloggers) at the newly opened Kirkland Gallery in Downtown Minneapolis. The art gallery is beautiful! Nestled right off of the light rail, Kirkland Gallery hosts some beautiful works from artists such as Gino Hollander, Drew Beson, Norm Korpi, as well as sculptures from Siri Hollander. Please read after the jump to learn more about Kirkland Gallery and to see a photo tour of its current exhibit.
